In 2008, the Rotary Club of Tulsa launched an annual program to recognize the public service heroes who protect our community with distinction and honor, especially those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. The Above and Beyond Awards recognize a police officer and firefighter – nominated by their peers – for outstanding acts of character, commitment and compassion.
