2013-Iba-Awards-Tasting-pixPreparing for the club’s major fund raising event and sampling the cuisine exquisitely prepared for the tasting by the hotel’s new executive chef Chad Horvath were Greg Kach, chairman; Ron Butler, program and PR chairman; Mac Finlayson, steering committee chairman; Trisha Kirkstra, venue chairman; Margaret Butler, publicist; Donna Mercier, executive director of the Rotary Club of Tulsa and Nicki Boone, director of catering at the Renaissance.

The dinner selection starts with a Caesar salad of grilled romaine heart, balsamic reduction, overnight tomato, and shaved parmesan served with a Caesar dressing and parmesan crostini. The entrée will be a boursin-crusted filet mignon with seared crab and shrimp cake served with wild mushroom and truffle potato risotto, sweet milk poached asparagus, baby carrots, olive oil blistered grape tomatoes and foie gras glace di Viand. The dessert will be a triple chocolate mousse tier served with chocolate and raspberry sauce and fresh strawberries.

New to the event this year will be a silent auction manned by members of Tulsa Rotaract. Auction items include a (one-of-only-seven) signed jersey by Adrian Peterson, two signed TU footballs and more.

The Iba Awards will be at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel and Convention Center on June 3 with a black tie celebrity reception starting at 6:00 pm followed by the awards banquet at 7:00 pm. Reservations are required and table sponsorships are available.
