For many years the Rotary Club of Tulsa and the Rotary Club of Oklahoma City have alternated club luncheons in an annual exchange. On March 21 we welcomed a delegation from OKC Club 29, who traveled up the turnpike to join us.
Besides hosting a tour of the growing Brady Arts District and Tulsa’s new Art & Humanities, Rotarian Melissa Clark, Social Committee chair, arranged for our guests to visit AHHA – the Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa Hardesty Art Center in the Brady District.
At our regular luncheon meeting, the guest Rotarians were recognized and Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett gave the address, talking about OKC’s steps that led to that city’s redevelopment success. Here is Tulsa World’s coverage of the luncheon. http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/article.aspx?subjectid=11&articleid=20130321_16_A11_CUTLIN751681
