Twenty Rotary Club of Tulsa Rotarians enjoyed a respite from the March storms by heading west to Oklahoma City for the biennial exchange visit. After an “insider’s” tour of the Oklahoma History Center led by Dr. Bob Blackburn, the group attended the weekly meeting of the Rotary Club of Oklahoma City in the Petroleum Club. Introduced by Chair of the Day, Mary Melon, City of Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett was the featured speaker, bringing all in attendance up-to-date on the new and exciting developments taking place in Tulsa. David Peterson had the honor of receiving a $5,000 donation from OKC Club President Chuck Wiggins and Steve Kime, partnering with us on our Water Well Drilling project in Nicaragua. After posing for a group photo, everyone boarded the bus for the ride back up the turnpike to Tulsa, having learned more not only about Oklahoma City but also Tulsa!
